Left-field duo KatzPascale have shared their new EP ‘ELEGY’ in full, offering a compelling look at their unique sonic landscape. The duo—comprised of Sammi Katzmann on saxophone and Jenna Pascale on cello and vocals—draws heavily from their classical training, infusing their avant-pop compositions with a daring sense of technical precision.
Out now, the six-track project serves as a blur of creative ideas. It masterfully meshes disparate techniques, shifting fluidly from avant-garde composition to moments of explicit, infectious melody. As a project, ‘ELEGY’ is designed to take the listener on a journey; it refuses to sit in one place, instead flowing from one revelatory moment to the next.
Fans can catch KatzPascale performing live in the UK this autumn, including a highly anticipated show at London’s St Matthias Church on October 28th.
