Lil Durk Adds Runway Model To Résumé By Walking Amiri Paris Fashion Week Show

PARIS, FRANCE – With references to brands like Gucci, Chanel and Avirex littering his last album 7220, it’s no secret Lil Durk has a love for fashion. The Chicago rap star took his passion one step further on Thursday (June 23) by walking the runway at Amiri’s Spring-Summer 2023 show during Paris Fashion Week.

Footage from the event showed Durk looking as poised as usual as he modeled items from designer Mike Amiri’s latest collection. The OTF frontman strutted around in a full-print sweatshirt, white popper shorts and white hi-top sneakers as Souls of Mischief’s ’90s classic “93 ’til Infinity” played through the speakers in the Parisian sunshine.

It’s perhaps no surprise Smurk was handpicked for the show considering he regularly wears Amiri clothes and name-dropped the brand on his 2019 Meek Mill collaboration “Bougie” (“I think I’m bougie, Mike Amiri jeans cost me two G’s”).

“I appreciate you for letting me be apart of history and opening up new doors we real rockstars @mikeamiri,” Durk wrote on Instagram while sharing behind-the-scenes photos from his runway debut.

Lil Durk is just the latest rapper to take his talents to the runway. In February, Dipset legend Jim Jones made his modeling debut at Off-White’s Fall/Winter 2022/23 show in Paris — an appearance that caught Kanye West’s attention — while Migos star Offset has worked the runway for Jeremy Scott and Off-White in recent years.

Durk is certainly making the most of his time in the French capital. On Tuesday, the Chi-Town native attended Givenchy’s Men’s Spring-Summer 2023 show alongside fellow rappers Kodak Black, Westside Gunn and Tyga, among other celebrities.

His European jaunt hasn’t halted his music plans, though, as the 29-year-old released the long-awaited deluxe edition of his chart-topping 7220 album on Friday (June 24). The expanded version contains 14 new songs, including collaborations with Moneybagg Yo, EST Gee, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Ella Mai.
