Brooklyn drill rapper Sheff G was reportedly arrested on Tuesday (January 19) for driving with a loaded .45-caliber handgun.
According to the NY Post, the recent RCA Records signee was busted when he pulled an illegal u-turn while driving through East Flatbush without a front license plate on Tuesday afternoon. After cops stopped him and searched the car, they allege they found the .45 in a hidden compartment along with nine rounds.

Sheff was arrested on the scene and charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon and two traffic violations, but his team maintains his innocence.
“We will vigorously defend these charges,” his attorney Mitchell Elman told the Post. “I have no further comment at this time.”
This isn’t the rapper’s first run-in with NYC cops since becoming a public figure. In November 2019, Sheff and five other artists including Pop Smoke were banned from Rolling Loud’s New York show by the NYPD over “public safety concerns” – a move Sheff refers to as “spiteful shit.”
“It was sad that they took the opportunity away from us so we could show the world that we bigger than just being in the hood and whatever they think we doing,” Sheff told HipHopDX last month. “That’s something that’s going to better our life. So why would you want to stop us from doing that? You want to keep us where we was at before, so it is what it is, but it’s also spiteful shit.”
Sheff is currently out of jail after being released on $35,000 bail.
