Rod Wave had fans worked up in a frenzy when he revealed he was working on his next album. Some believed the project would come on Friday (June 10), but nothing dropped, and one fan was not happy.

On Monday (June 13), Akademiks shared a post of a young Rod Wave fanatic leaving a voice note for the Soulfly crooner. According to the kid, Wave can drop two albums at this point.

“You know, I’m not going to lie to you king,” the young fan said to start his voice note. “I stayed up way past my bedtime for the album, and I didn’t get it. Like, come on. You could literally like, hold on, you can make two albums. Am I wrong? No.”

He continued, “You can make two albums, release the songs that you have done right now and then make another album with the other ones or like make a part two, but no, you made me stay up past my freaking bedtime bro, and I just want the album. Actually, no, fuck you. You done went and played all of us. You okayed every single one of us, made me cry, made me sad, made me like, I couldn’t breathe, I thought I was going to die. I thought I was hyperventilating. It’s not funny.”

The upcoming album is titled Beautiful Mind, and it was reportedly due on June 3, yet nothing came on that date either. Rod did go on Instagram last month and posted a video of himself scrolling through Twitter comments from fans begging for the album. He did apologize to them in the caption, saying, “Sorry 4 Da Wait.”

Rod actually hoped on Twitter on Monday (June 13) to let fans know Beautiful Mind will be his last sad album. According to Wave, he just wants to get paid.

“On my baby’s dis my last sad ass album I’m off dat jus wanna live happy travel get dis money,” he tweeted.

Fans already know that Future may be on the project after Rod Wave shared a photo of himself and the Atlanta rap legend in the studio back in March. According to Wave, working with Future was a dream come true.
