The Bronx, NY –
Ice Spice and Lil Tjay hosted a turkey giveaway ahead of Thanksgiving in their native Bronx, New York on Wednesday night (November 16).
The BX rappers were mobbed by fans at the giveaway event as they found another way to give back to the community they both grew up in, donating turkeys to about 150 different local families.
Footage surfaced of Ice Spice and Tjay on top of some sort of table or car overlooking the massive screaming crowd as they tossed out turkeys for free. However, the fans seemed more interested in getting selfies with the hometown heroes.

Lil Tjay appears to be in good spirits after being shot multiple times outside a Chipotle restaurant in Edgewater, New Jersey in June.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, a 27-year-old man named Mohamed Konate attempted to rob Tjay and his two friends, Antoine Boyd and Jeffrey Valdez, while they were seated in a Dodge Durango near the Promenade shopping center.
Konate, who was arrested roughly a month after the shooting, allegedly fired near-fatal shots at Tjay, striking him in the thoracic cavity. Konate sufferied gunshot wounds himself during the attempted robbery. The “Zoo York” rapper was reportedly unconscious for several days after undergoing emergency surgery.
As for Ice Spice, she continues to adjust to her newfound fame after enjoying meteoric rise thanks to her breakout hit “Munch (Feelin’ U).” After recently dropping a follow-up single, “Bikini Bottom,” the 22-year-old is now working on a six-track EP as her debut project.
