Doechii’s viral hit “Anxiety” has surged to No. 1 on the YouTube US Top Songs chart on Shorts, cementing its status as a breakout sensation. The track also secures the No. 5 spot on both the US Top Songs and Global Top Songs charts, reflecting its widespread appeal.

Originally released as a raw bedroom recording in 2019, “Anxiety” has gained new life thanks to its infectious energy and nostalgic sample of Gotye and Kimbra’s 2011 smash hit Somebody That I Used To Know. The resurgence of the sample-driven track has also pushed Somebody That I Used To Know back onto the charts, landing at No. 32.

With the song’s success, Doechii makes her mark on the artist rankings, debuting at No. 47 on the US Top Artists chart. As “Anxiety” continues to dominate social media and streaming platforms, Doechii’s rapid ascent signals a major moment for the rising star.

Doechii’s breakout hit “Anxiety” jumps three spots to No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her first-ever top 10 entry. The track surged in popularity with 21.4 million streams (up 4%), 4.8 million in airplay audience (up 479%), and 11,000 downloads sold (up 101%), making it the new No. 1 song on Digital Song Sales.

Initially released in 2019, “Anxiety” gained renewed momentum ahead of Doechii being honored as Billboard’s 2025 Woman of the Year at the upcoming Women in Music celebration on March 29. The song’s rise is partly fueled by its prominent sample of Gotye’s 2012 smash hit “Somebody That I Used to Know”, which topped the Hot 100 for eight weeks.

With this latest milestone, Doechii solidifies her status as a rising force in hip-hop and R&B, proving that even a year-old track can find new life at the top of the charts.
